Curro Royo was one of the writers of the acclaimed and awarded Spanish series ‘Cuéntame’ for ten seasons. He joined the show at the start of the 8th season and wrote forty-one episodes.

He has five feature films released, including the successful ‘El Arte de Morir’ and the arty ‘Thirteen Chimes’. His latest screenplays include ‘Alatriste’, and ‘Olmos y Robles’. ‘Alatriste’ is a European co-production based on the bestseller novels by Arturo Pérez Reverte.

Curro Royo holds a Master’s in Scriptwriting and a Bachelor of Arts in History. He also has a Diploma in Digital Film Production from the University of Cumbria, Carlisle (UK) where he lived for two years.
